Montessori Toddler Group

Located in the First Montessori School in Hoofddorp, you will find our Montessori toddler group (playgroup). Children from the age of two are welcome here.

The group is open on Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Here, children can become acquainted in a playful way with Montessori materials and the Montessori approach.

The Montessori vision is ideally suited to guiding the development of toddlers. There is also a great deal of Montessori material that is very suitable for this age. Attention is paid to the young child’s vocabulary development, as well as, for example, sensory and motor development. Extra attention is also given to well-known Montessori practices, such as caring for the materials and doing “activities.”

Of course, there is also plenty of room for free play. Our staff are trained in working with the VVE method (Early Childhood Education) and in results-oriented work. This means they are skilled in stimulating development and in identifying and guiding (potential) developmental delays.

If your child has a VE indication, you can come to us for placement. Your child will then also receive extra weekly guidance from a tutor.

Working according to the VVE method and results-oriented work is very meaningful for every child! Development is closely monitored, looking at multiple areas of development. The toddler group also contributes to a smooth transition to the Montessori school. A good start for every preschooler!

The times of the toddler group have therefore also been adjusted to the school’s lesson times.
