Peuterspeelzaal the Play Castle

A unique location for a toddler playgroup, in the children's play paradise "the Play Castle". This means that even in վատ weather, the toddlers can enjoy moving around and playing indoors. Most of the time, this is also outside the regular opening hours of the Play Castle!

The Play Castle has a separate play structure for children aged 2 to 4.

The group has no fewer than two bright group rooms (85 m2) with an adjoining outdoor area (160 m2), equipped with play equipment. In addition to their own outdoor area, there is also the outdoor area of the play paradise, which can also be used extensively, for example the giant air trampoline.

At toddler playgroup 't Speelkasteel, we work with the early childhood education program Uk & Puk, in which play is central. The various themes connect with the toddlers’ world of experience. Activities have been developed for this age group for each theme. In the activities, attention is paid to the four developmental domains: language development, social-emotional development, motor and sensory development, and early math stimulation. Toddlers learn to follow a daily routine, to cooperate, to be part of a group, to understand rules and customs, and they practice all kinds of skills they need for a good start in primary education.

In addition to regular toddler care, you can also come to this location for preschool education (VE) if your child has an indication for this via the child health clinic. For children with a VE indication, there is extra weekly guidance from a university of applied sciences-trained tutor.

You can also come to us for a place if you are not entitled to childcare allowance. The municipality then subsidizes the vast majority of the costs (for 2 mornings per week), so that only a small personal contribution (income-dependent) remains for you.

The toddler playgroup is open during school weeks (08:30-12:30) and follows the school holidays of the primary schools in Hoofddorp.
